"Trajectory" is the most recent single from Craig Carrington (Nights on Venus) and the second advance instrumental track from a forthcoming album.

Again, this song is 'from the vault' and was originally recorded under a different working title all the way back in late 1994, early '95, but never released. It was part of some original material recorded for an album project during the time I was in the band Kerouac Deadbeats in Denver. That material was also my first foray into recording my own music in the small studio I had at the time (in the equally small studio apartment I was inhabiting in the Gotham City Apartments in Capitol Hill - no seriously, you can't make this shit up). It was very bare bones - I recorded using a 12-track mixer and running directly into a 2-track cassette deck, so it was (mostly) binaural. "Trajectory" was found last fall on the original cassette tape from 28 years ago. So when I say it's 'from the vault', it really is. More to come...

"Velocity of Being" is the new and first single from Craig Carrington (Nights on Venus) and advance track from a forthcoming album to be released in 2023.

This song was originally recorded under a different working title in June, 2010, but never released. It was part of the original material recorded for what I thought would be my first album, pre-Nights on Venus. Now, 12 years later, I'm starting to release some of the original material that led to the more mellow side project, Nights on Venus, revised and re-envisioned of course, alongside new material and at least a couple of covers.. The last official release by Nights on Venus (for now), the song itself is a continuing exploration of late-1970s electronica and retro-futurism in 3 parts; it was also to be the title of the album and the composition was to be in 10 parts, running together, but early on in the fall of 2020, the project began to morph into something much different, leading to where I am now. A transitional piece of instrumental music that was born out of the year of Covid (2020), it is unofficially the first 'Craig Carrington' song, which is the way I prefer to think about it now. - CCT, 11/11/2022
